  1. Vermont Democratic Convention (Barre, VT) - The Vermont Democratic Party State Convention will be held Saturday, May 24 at the Barre Civic Center. Delegates to the state convention will elect delegates to the Democratic National Convention this summer.
  2. Tabling for Change - Carnaval Festival (San Francisco, CA) - Disc: The 30th anniversary of California’s largest annual multi-cultural celebration. This year’s fest, themed “Many Cultures - One Spirit,” showcases Latin American and Caribbean cultures and traditions with food, music, dance and artistry, including works created by the talented community of Mission District residents and Bay Area artists.
  3. The 50th Annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival (Garden Grove, CA) - This festival is the second largest city festival in the Western United States. It’s held during Memorial Day weekend at the Village Green between Main Street and Euclid Avenue in downtown Garden Grove.
  4. South Bend IN, “Bush-McCain Challenge”! (South Bend, IN) - Take the “Bush-McCain Challenge!” This is an Operation Democracy event, on WEDNESDAY, May 28th, downtown South Bend at the wide, wide sidewalk at the corner of Jefferson St. and MIchigan St.
  5. The Second Giving Tree for Progress (Milwaukee, WI) - Help grow the Democratic Party of Milwaukee County

  3. Arlington Young Dems Monthly Happy Hour (Arlington, VA) - Come out and join us at our monthly happy hour for a night with other fun young professionals, great drink specials, good food, and an all around good time!
  4. 2008 Membership Drive Meet-n-Greet (Torrance, CA) - $5 gets you & a guest wine, beer, snacks, soda and 2 tickets in the raffle.
  5. The BLUE Party (Roanoke, VA) - The BLUE Party is an annual party thrown for college Democrats by college Democrats. It’s an opportunity to get together with like-minded liberals and have fun while also promoting local, state, or national Democratic campaigns.

  2. St. Judes Fundraiser/ Voter Registration (Duluth, MN) - On Tuesday March 18th the College Dems will be holding a Voter Registration in the commons from 11-2. We will also have a place to drop of money to go to St. Judes Children Research hospital.
  3. Maple Syrup Tapping (Chicago, IL) - Learn the whole mayple story from sappy start to finish
  4. 70’s Disco Night Fundraiser Dinner (Highland Village, TX) - You are invited to a 70’s Disco Night!
  5. Rockaway Beach Spring Clean Up (Rockaway Beach, MO) - We will meet at 7am at the First Community Bank on Highway 176, and then proceed to the Community Center for breakfast and instructions. At 4pm there will be a cook out and live music in the park for volunteers.

  4. Party Chair Candidate Forum (Lafayette, LA) - Six candidates for the position of chair of the Louisiana Democratic Party have been invited (and accepted) invitations to participate in a forum to discuss their plans for the future of the party.
  5. Comedy Against Evil (New York, NY) - Jeff Kreisler - writer for Comedy Central’s Indecision2008, winner of the Bill Hicks Spirit Award, and author of Harper Collins’ “Get Rich Cheating” - dissects American politics and culture with passion, absurdity, and hope.
