What Will The Democrats Do To Try To Get Republicans To Change Their Position To Override A Veto?

The Democrats (Senators Obama and Clinton at a rally Saturday) are demanding enough Republicans change their position on requiring timetables for withsrawing troops from Iraq. How do the Democrats think they will convince them to change their view?

    They won’t, it’s that simple. It was passed with something like 51%, they need 75% to override the veto.

    If they don’t listen to the ‘will of the people’ they will find themselves looking for jobs come ‘08.
    I predict Bush’s veto will be overridden.
    Bush is finished. He is fast becoming a lame excuse for a lame duck.

    If they take out the time limit and put in a dollar limit it might be accepted.
