Why is asking why Democrats don’t start or run businesses a violation?

Who could possibly argue that Democrats have a strong entrepreunerial spirit?

Especially since all they do is bash “big business.”

I think bashing big business, an engine for growth and strength, should be a violation. How many more unemployed and homeless do they want by undermining our corporations?
Should I have included that Democrats are also against the military? That is also true, but besides the point.

Let’s look at the richest man in America, Bill Gates. A Democrat and an entrepreneur.

Tell me what private sector job John McCain has ever held??? He went straight out of the army into politics.

because they are against big business and don’t want the common citizen to know that they too like to pursue wealth and happiness. myself i don’t see what is wrong with being successful and not relying on the government to support me.

Your question should be addressed to the Yahoo Answers staff, not on the open forum. They have rules. Something about your question must have violated one of the regulations.

OMG, you will get your distorted point of view in any way you can, won’t you? Democrats are against the military?! How laughable!

Many Democrats are business owners. Saying Republicans are the only people with business is a bit general and untrue.

You probably offended a Democrat who has a business of their own. Just because someone is a Democrat doesnt mean that they have no businesses, or jobs or money!!!!

I’m not a democrat, but Corporate America brings a lot of it on themselves.

I have yet to know of a CEO that’s worth 100 million plus a year.

SaabGuy328, what do you think JFK did?

Myra F, if you believe your own comment, you know very little about the democratic party and what they have done to our military.

Well, I didn’t see the question, but sounds like you were probably insulting. If you think that democrats do not own businesses you don’t know very much about about business or people in this country.

There are plenty of legitimate criticisms that can be made about Corporate America.

Edit: Why don’t you just repeat every cliche and talking point about liberals and democrats you heard on talk radio?

Because it is not really a question but a lie posed as a question. A not so subtle insult.

I am a democrat and I started a business in 2001, still going well.

I don’t mind “big business” except that they are so often run by criminals who do not care at all about the environmnet or their employees. I think it is a disgrace that CEO’s get paid millions of dollars a year, even when the business is doing poorly. I could go on but will keep it short…

It is so easy here to silence somebody who doesn’t have your opinion, as truthful it may be. You don’t need a good character and a backbone, just the opposite. The bashing of “big” business is just another tactic of the losers, who have no clue how an economy works. The quoted big Business leaders may have had a lot of luck and many helpers to come where they are, however, one should not assume that money made them intellectual supermen. Money still can’t buy you brains, only the brains of others.
And let us not forget that the small businesses are instrumental for a well established economy. The tax burdens planned by the Democrats will kill 1. the entrepreneurial spirit of many and 2. create a total depression of our economic system. Where should then the money (taxes) for all these important social “entitlements” come from?

    My family are mostly Democrats:
    Uncle Martin Casebolt-owns 15 Supermarkets
    Uncle Jack Ison-owns Insurance Co.
    Cousin-Jimmy Cox-owns Food Markets & Convenient Stores
    Cousin-Martin Cox-owns 2 Supermarkets
    Sister-Suzanne Smith-owns Jewelery business
    Brother-in-law-David Smith-owns Trucking Co.
    Brother-Donnie Ison-owns Trucking Co.
Father (who has now passed)-owned horse & cattle farms
    Aunt ImaLee Combs-owns Furniture Store
Sister-Donna Jane Ison Rodriguez-owns Theater (acting) Co.
    Cousin-Ira Kilburn-owns Law Firm
Cousin-Ralph “Push” Combs-owns farm with milking Co.
And I can name you many more Democrat relatives who own their own companies and some who have retired and have it made for the rest of their lives. But they will tell you that if it were not for the little man, they would be no where.

You won’t proof that I didn’t make this up.
Call my brother Donnie at 1-352-303-8549 and see if the answering machine doesn’t say Ison’s Trucking.
Call my cousin, Ira Kilburn at 1-606-683-2901 and see if the phone isn’t answered Kilburn Law Firm.
Call 1-859-498-3410 and see if they don’t answer the phone, Hoffman, Ison and Greene Ins. Co.

If this isn’t enough to convince you then e-mail me and I’ll give you the rest of the numbers. Maybe you could call my Aunt Frieda and ask how much she’s worth in stocks and bonds from her husband being in the grocery business all her life. 1-352-343-0226, but you’ll have to speak loudly as she doesn’t hear well anymore.

You act like no Democrats are business people. It’s just that we like to take the little people with us. You know what the Bible says about the least of you becoming the most.

And by the way, what would you do if you ever ran into a homeless Veteran, feed him or spit on him?

Well, I could. I’m a middle of the Road person….I like gay people and guns….when I retire from the Air Force, I plan on going into the family business, which you guessed it was started by a Democrat and is run by my aunt who mostly votes Republican but likes the odd Democrat.
